The P08 Navy Luger is distinguished by the longer barrel (6 inches). Where the commercial Luger has a 4 inch barrel and the Artillery Luger has an 8-10 inch barrel the Navy Luger has a six inch barrel. This gives the shooter a better sight plane and should improve the shooting accuracy while using the regular sights. Most of these Luger's were issued to German Navy Officers. Enlisted men were never issued Luger's and if they posessed one it most likely was a personal weapon or appropriated by some other means from a comrade.
